On September 23, 2011, Luis Arguello Sr. was asked to testify before
The U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs. The hearing, titled "Job
Creation Made Easy: The Colombia, Panama, and South Korea Free Trade
Agreements" was led by Chairman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Miami native.
Mr. Arguello believes that the passing of these FTAs will allow for
the creation of jobs and an increase in exports.
Mr. Arguello serves as a member of the Chairman's Advisory Committee
of the Export Import Bank of the United States and as a member of the
Manufacturing Council of the Department of Commerce.
